Assessing Building Movement

Assessbuildmovephoto2Of all the condition related problems a practitioner can encounter during an inspection, evidence of building movement is the one that causes the most anxiety. Is the hairline crack caused by normal thermal and moisture movements or does it represent the early stages of foundation failure? Can an appropriately qualified person assess the problem or should the practitioner make the decision? Over confidence can put the surveyor in court while regular referrals to specialists can result in accusations of cautiousness and eventually loss of business

These courses and workshops will review the diagnostic process that practitioners are expected to follow and apply these to realistic photographic case studies. The course will suit those offering Condition and HomeBuyer Reports and building surveys.
